Zara Belle

Another new week! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! For the most part, my weekend was relaxing and fun. I spent my Saturday cooking one of my favorite spicy Jollof rice--I wish you guys can taste it, but you will need bottles of water next to you to get through couple spoons--my friend Nomy can testify to it ;)

After cooking in the early Saturday afternoon, I went for relaunching of my hairstylist's salon, which was awesome. Since I am so into interior decorating, I was amazed at the interior decor of the salon. I have been taking notes because once I graduate next May, I will have a lot of time to transform my garage into my on walk-in closet. Right now, I am thinking all white with zebra prints, black, and red details. Until then, I am letting my imagination run wild. :)

On Sunday, immediately after church and couple pictures by my friend/photographer Paosin, I had to go to the library for two group meetings...my nerd hat was back in full force dealing with Investment Finance and International Business cases. I stayed in the library until almost 9pm. Immediately I got home, I could only picture my bed with Ipad scrolling through pictures. Few minutes to an hour later, I was in dream land with my music still playing in my ears :)

On another note, tomorrow is my mom's birthday, so I want to use this time to wish the most caring, loving, wonderful, beautiful lady in my life a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I love you so much mommy and cheers to many more years. Kisses!

Wrapped Up

What a busy week it has been and next week is looking like one of my busiest weeks this semester. It feels like all the professors got together and decided to pile up every assignment possible. I am swapped with tons of papers. My current motivation is my trip in 2weeks. 

I feel like I have traveled a lot this year. I love to travel. Sometimes I think I could live the life of a jet setter :)I am most excited for my trip to Nigeria in December. After 4 years, I am ready to visit family and friends that I have made over the years and hopefully meet new people. I was thinking it will be nice to meet some readers from my country that have been showering me with so much love and support. Well, until then, I can wait for Christmas!

This weekend, I will be involved in Baltimore Marathon for charity, which will be fun even though I have zero training or running abilities. Anything for a cause will make me wear tennis shoes :)

Neutral tone

How is everyone doing? I have been battling cold, sore throat and a slight fever since Friday. I was sneezing so hard on Friday it felt like I was going to sneeze out my brains. :)  I didn't want the cold to get the best of me, so decided to grab some dinner and drinks with friends/coworkers Tracey & Chaun at the Cheesecake Factory.

On Saturday, though I was weak and felt sick, I attended a friend's wedding, which was really fun. I was able to catch up with friends--lots of laughs and jokes. The whole event was fun. I can't wait to post the outfit I made from the wedding material or "aso-ebi" as we call it.

Sunday, I relaxed and tried to make some food before squeezing in some studying. All weekend, I consumed so much green tea and lemon, which has helped quite a bit. Right now, my nose feels  congested and I have a coarse voice due to the cold.

A Day in my life

Cheers to another weekend! I feel like I had two weekends back-to-back because I only had three work days this week due to 4th of July holiday.

I wore this dress over the weekend while out in downtown with the hubby.

 For an edgy look, I wore my H&M dress and Sam Edelman's booties. Without being overboard, I added the beige Aldo bag  and colored bangles; it softens the look by adding some colors to the outfit. To complete to look, I had to add my current obsession, which is the round sunglasses. I call it my "rockstar" glasses. :)
