Patterns & Color

I am feeling a lot better and thank you all for all the kind words and get well wishes--you guys are the best :) Your love and support is overwhelming and I sincerely appreciate it.

On another note, I am working on a beauty post. I have gotten so many emails and comments about what beauty products or make up that I use. I can't wait to do a post and share all my secrets--I am definitely not a make up expert; but what works for me might work for someone else.

I can't believe September is almost over. This means that December/Christmas is about three months away....Yayyyy! The more I see all the Christmas ornaments in stores, the more I can't wait for Christmas. I will most likely be spending Christmas or New years in Nigeria. I have not been to Nigeria in almost 4 years--I bet it will be fun and hopefully meet some of my readers and other bloggers.

Any plans for the weekend?
Enjoy the rest of the week!

Neutral tone
How is everyone doing? I have been battling cold, sore throat and a slight fever since Friday. I was sneezing so hard on Friday it felt like I was going to sneeze out my brains. :)  I didn't want the cold to get the best of me, so decided to grab some dinner and drinks with friends/coworkers Tracey & Chaun at the Cheesecake Factory.

On Saturday, though I was weak and felt sick, I attended a friend's wedding, which was really fun. I was able to catch up with friends--lots of laughs and jokes. The whole event was fun. I can't wait to post the outfit I made from the wedding material or "aso-ebi" as we call it.

Sunday, I relaxed and tried to make some food before squeezing in some studying. All weekend, I consumed so much green tea and lemon, which has helped quite a bit. Right now, my nose feels  congested and I have a coarse voice due to the cold.
Outfit: H&M pants, scarf and cape; Aldo shoes & bag; Michael Kors watch; Lipstick is a mix of MAC Cyber & Ruby Woo

Chunky Jewelries

We all love jewelry. Why not? They’re pretty, shiny, andsparkly. We’re girls – it’d be a sin not tolove jewelry! Personally, I love it big and chunky. Especially if it’s gold. Whiledoing some online shopping on ShopNBC, Ifound these awesome pieces of big gold jewelry! They bright and eye-catching – just the way I like ‘em!

But then again, that’s my personal taste. How about you? Howdo you like your jewelry? Big and gold? Silver and minimalistic? Or a littlemix of everything?

Enjoy your weekend!

Come to the dark side

How is everyone's week going? This is one of those weeks where I wish it could be over. I am already tired and hoping for Friday to get here. I have been on lack of sleep overdrive and school is slowly getting busy. I am counting down to Friday. I will have "Cheers to the weekend" on repeat and some mimosa.  :)

Alexander Wang1

On another note, did anybody watch "Two and Half Men" or "Dancing with the Stars"? What are your thoughts? I kept switching the channel back and forth for both shows. For "Two and Half Men," it felt like something was missing -- I kind of miss Charlie Sheen's character. Ashton Kutcher was good, but then again, it felt like the writers had him in similar dialogue like Jake. Then there is "Dancing with the Stars," which has a lot of interesting people to watch from Nancy Grace to David Arquette. The fall TV line up is looking great, but I can't wait for Gossip Girl to come back.
I should be asleep right now, but I love you guys so much that is why I am still awake and blogging :)
I sincerely thank you all for all your support. You inspire me to blog even when I have to be awake in 4 hours. :)

Lots of Love

Mellow Yellow

I wore this out on a Sunday afternoon with my hubby; but when I decided to take some pictures, the rain starting pouring out of the blue, so we decided to grab something to eat at La Madeline. I love La Madeline. I could eat their Caesar Salad everyday.

Mellow Yellow3
One of the best Caesar salad :)

I spent Sunday evening watching Emmy's red carpet, but I didn't get to watch the award because I had to finish up my assignment on Investment Portfolio. I didn't go to bed until around 1am or so. The next day at work, I needed a big cup of coffee to keep me alert because I barely had 5 hours of sleep.

Mellow Yellow
Taste as good as it looks :)

Accessories: Gifted necklace, Forever 21 rings...Nail polish by Sephora
Wearing H&M bag and an old Aldo the worn out and tough look!

If you follow me on twitter, I proclaimed how tired I was today after sitting in class for so long. For a second, it felt like the professor was going for another round of teaching. I was tired and starving; immediately after class, I treated myself to a late night Chick-fil-A--unhealthy...but I have been craving for some waffle fries even before class began LOL!

On another note, I have been wanting to take yoga classes. After procrastinating, I think I will be adding yoga to my already filled schedule. :)

Hope you all are having a great week so far!
I am off to bed....
Big hugs & kisses

The Fashion Crowd

Streets are runways and styles are on display -- there is no better place to be than in New York City for Fashion Week spring 2012. From bright colors to floral prints, each outfit speaks for itself.

I am loving all the street styles...great inspirations!

You decide

Indecisive by

How is everyone doing? The weekend seems to have gone by in a blink of an eye. I occupied myself with school work and checking out fashion week coverages.

For this outfit, I wanted to try two different colored sheer blouses. One moment I was leaning towards the beige blouse and the next minute, I want to wear the darker blouse.

You decide, which  blouse would you refer?

Stylishly yours...

Outfit: Zara pants, clutch, shoes; Nastygal cardigan; Michael Kors watch; earrings by Guinevere from Nordstrom

When I was putting this outfit together, I was thinking of a casual work Friday; this leads to happy hour and dinner with co-workers and friends. Colored pants are here to stay. We will be seeing lots of colored pants this fall. Instead of pairing these pants with bright colored blouses, pair them with warm and subtle fall colors like burgundy or navy.

Outfit: Zara pants, bag, blazer & shoes; YSL ring, Michael Kors watch; Hermes belt;
... a great outfit for Fashion Night Out with girlfriends. Animal print is must-have for fall, but it doesn't mean you have to be covered in animal print from head-to-toe. Adding a black tee to the  outfit gives it a more relaxed look. Also, a blazer and orange belt add color to the outfit without being too "summer" bright.

Outfit: Giuseppe-zanotti shoes, Chanel clutch, Asos romper, Bracelet--Kendra Scott from Nordstrom

For a date night, besides wanting to wear a cute short dress, you can also wear romper/playsuit. For example, the playsuit shown above has this sexy and classy appeal. For this outfit, the statement piece is the Giuseppe Zanotti wedge. Metallics are another trend to watch. They add an edge to an outfit without going overboard.

Have a wonderful Weekend!
