High-Waisted

How is everyone doing? This has been a busy week for me - spending about 10hours each day at work. When I get home, all I want to do is eat and sleep and occasionally, I sneak in a bit of browsing and blog hopping.

The weekend is almost here and my plan for this weekend is to get school supplies and also squeeze in some photoshoot for the blog. I can't believe the summer is almost over; but I am ready for fall and all the great styling that comes with it. ;)

It's all fun and play

www.jadore-fashion.com

In my previous post, I mentioned that I was in Montego Bay for our anniversary.  Been here for couple of days, I have already abused most Jamaican dishes--my favorite is definitely curry goat with white rice and plantains. I am a self proclaimed foody! I visited the restaurant "The Natives" so much that the waitress recognized us and remembered the dishes we always ordered.

On this day, I was feeling relaxed and ready for more fun in Jamaica. The morning before hitting the town, I decided to whip up some quick breakfast. I am not a chef; but I can definitely hold my stand. :)

For the second half of the reception, we changed into our (Nigerian) traditional attires. I danced the night away in 5 inch heels until almost 2am. I still don't know how I did it with barely 3 hours of sleep the night before. :D

Happy Anniversary baby!

Simply Chic

I wore this outfit for a dinner with my friend. After a couple of drinks and Cheesecake Factory's oversize Chipotle chicken pasta, we were so ready to relax and catch up on long overdue girls' talk.

Weekend Recap

My weekend started off well. Rested for the most part after working long hours on Friday. On Saturday, I attended a friend's wedding, which was beautiful. It is always great seeing so much love between two people. There was a lot of dancing and chatting with friends at the wedding. On Sunday, I went out with my friend for dinner, drinks, and catching up. Definitely a fun weekend. I wish it was a bit longer.

Anyway, how did you spend your weekend? Did you do anything diifferent or unusually?

 Happy New Month!
 Thanks for all your support!

Lots of love,
Stella

All of the Lights

www.jadore-fashion.com

I took these pictures some weekends ago when I organized a friend's surprise birthday dinner. It was a nice event. The birthday girl was a bit suspicious about the surprise; but at the end, what mattered was the fun filled dinner with a small group of her close friends.

I love the scenery of where the restaurant is located. From our table, we could see the city lights and water. Definitely a great restaurant - awesome view.

What's for Dinner!
www.jadore-fashion.com
Yummy! ;)

The heat really got the best part of me this weekend. Even though the temperature was between 104 & 110 degrees, it felt worse than that. Besides some errands on Saturday, I tried to stay cool with my smoothies and bottles of cold water. On Sunday evening, I went for a friend's event who had a baby five days earlier. The baby is so cute. I keep getting the question from friends when I plan on  having mine. For now, I will gladly babysit until then :)

Anyway, that was my weekend in few sentences. What did you do over the weekend? Did you experience the heat wave?

PS: My prayers go out to all those affected in the Norway incident and the family & friends of Amy Winehouse (RIP).

Lot of Love,
Stella

TREND: Suit Up

Yes, ladies! It is okay to suit up. Embrace your masculine touch by dressing up in a suit. Suits are not meant only for job interviews or board meetings, they can be shortened or dressed in a sexy but classy way.

The best part of this redefined suit version is that is can be worn in so many ways from casual to sexy and classy. For a casual look, simply throw on pair of blazer, a white v-neck tee and a relaxed trouser or shorts paired with heels or even a sneaker/converse.

On the other hand, you can added a touch of color. Suits are not just meant for dark shades of color like black or gray, but can also be bright colors like yellow and orange. Remember to find a color that suits your skin tone.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Girl Meets Boy

Harem jeans

Jadore-Fashion-Jewelries
Zara blazer; Forever21 Necklace, Michael Kors Watch
Accessories-Aldo-F21

Jadore-Fashion blue
Harem pants: Victoria's Secret; Bag: H&M
JC shoes
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell from Solestruck

I believe I am in a relationship with Jeffrey Campbell shoes. I just love how edgy and unique their shoes are. This is one of the most comfortable shoes I own.  However, on this day, I decided to pair it with my denim harem pants that I got almost two years ago from Victoria's Secret with a plain tank top. Of course, I had to add some hint of color with the blue blazer and the turban. For the turban, I used an African print material that I received last year from my mother-in-law. This outfit has a "tomboy meets girl" feel to it.

On another note, I hope you all are having a nice week so far. The heat is terrible here. I go through bottles of water in few minutes. Hopefully, I don't melt. :)
 Anyway, stay cool & hydrated.

Lots of Love
Stella
